It's been heartwarming and genuinely inspiring to witness just how much the ShipRocked family has rallied in support of the music and each other during these unprecedented and challenging times. That has only strengthened our resolve to deliver you a healthy and safe environment so you can sail with confidence and enjoy a vacation experience filled with great music and a lifetime of memories!
ShipRocked's primary commitment is to protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our incredible family of guests, artists, crew, and staff, so that we can deliver the best possible onboard experience with the least amount of restrictions.
As we continue to navigate these uncharted waters, we regularly communicate with our cruise line partners at Carnival regarding their Have Fun Be Safe guest protocols. We expect that these policies will continue to be updated as we approach the cruise, and we will adapt and evolve along with them, as we've done for millions of years!
We will email all guests and update this page with the details of any new protocols and safety measures that are in place at the time of our sailing which may impact your ShipRocked vacation experience.
In consultation with medical experts and public health officials, Carnival Cruise Lines has developed its Have Fun Be Safe protocols and procedures to provide the optimal guest experience while protecting the health and safety of their guests.
Guests are currently required to be vaccinated and tested before their cruise on all sailings through February 28, 2022.
We want as many of you as possible to join us in January! So all ShipRocked guests and those considering making a reservation are encouraged to get vaccinated, and to review the full details of Carnival's Have Fun Be Safe protocols by clicking here, and their Return To Service FAQ by clicking here.
Should any additional information become available, updates will be published here and on Carnival's website.
Requirements for cruise ships to enter ports outside the U.S. continue to evolve and Carnival Cruise Line must operate in full compliance with these regulations. Several Caribbean ports have recently changed their policies with short notice given to airlines and cruise operators. While Mexico does not currently require vaccinations for entry into Costa Maya or Cozumel, that could change at any time.

Currently, vaccinated guests must be tested with a viral test that is either an antigen test or a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT), within two days prior to the sailing date. As ShipRocked departs on a Saturday, the test may be taken on Thursday or Friday, and as late as Saturday, if you are guaranteed to receive your results in time for check-in at the pier.
We are offering currently booked guests who cannot or choose not to be vaccinated before the cruise a window of opportunity to request a future ShipRocked cruise credit or cancel their reservation for a refund.

To our knowledge, there are no current restrictions imposed by the US Government preventing fully vaccinated guests from traveling internationally to the United States or within the US to Galveston, TX in January 2022.
We will of course continue to monitor these matters throughout the year, but encourage all of our international guests to review your country's travel rules and regulations to determine whether any measures are in place which might impact your vacation.
We strongly recommend that all US resident guests purchase travel insurance from our friends at Travel Guard. There are a number of reasons it's a good idea to have it, from missed/cancelled flights, to lost or stolen baggage/personal items, illness/injury and much more.
However, please be aware of the following information recently provided to us by Travel Guard:
Due to the World Health Organization (WHO) announcement declaring Coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic, please note that as of March 11, 2020, COVID-19 is a foreseen event and certain coverages offered by Travel Guard will not apply.
Please click here for additional details.
We are only able to offer travel insurance to residents of the United States. If you are a resident of Canada, you can contact Travel Guard directly by clicking here. If you are a resident of another country, we recommend that you purchase travel insurance locally.
